Bragging Rights

I decided to give Cameron a little decor for his part of the room and researched wood lettering of his name to hang on the wall. It was ridiculously expensive, so I decided to try and make it myself. We went to Joanns and bought the wood lettering, paint, brushes, ribbon, and hot glue. It only took a little bit of time and it turned out so dang cute I couldn't believe that I created it!!
Halsy hung it for me using his artistic flair and it looks so fun!! So I thought I'd put a picture of my accomplishment just to brag a little because I am so proud of myself for being creative and frugal!!

New Baby Thomas

We went to Eugene to see our newest little nephew - Thomas. He is so little, I forgot how little Cameron used to be!! We love going to Eugene to see our family.....it is such a bummer that they are 2 hours away. We got our first picture of all the cousins together on this trip and it was quite hilarious, crying, pushing, and whining...but we got the job done and I think they all look quite perfect!

What's new in Carterville!

Lots of new things are happening in the Carter house! Our little guy has become a fun loving, happy, smiley, non-pukey, adorable ball of sweetness!! I don't know what happened, but he turned 5 months and I now know why people have children....(j/k Cameron). He is so observant of the world around him and loves to touch and feel everything. He now loves the excersaucer and will play in it for at least 15 minutes before getting bored.
He is also sitting up and rolling over very well. He can sit up without the boppy, but he falls too much so I feel better with the support. He loves to sit on his blanket and watch Baby Einstein with his toys while I do my work around the house! Which is so nice for me because he can entertain himself for a little while so I don't have to haul him around the house on my hip.
He also laughs constantly, we can almost get him to laugh on command, but he loves to giggle and talk. He gets very excited when we sing...he loves when you sing to him!! he also likes to be scared a little (peek-a-boo, mommy's gonna get you!). We have so much fun getting him belly laughing and then we are laughing and the chain continues!!

Eugene Carters

We Love Our Family!!!

We went to visit our family in Eugene this weekend and we had a ball!! As many of you know Cameron is horrendous to have in the car....so after an okay from my pediatrician we used Benadryl.....it was wonderful! If you ever have to travel with a child who doesn't like cars...Children's Benadryl makes them sleep like a little lamb and there were no problems!! Our drive was so peaceful, I wish I could use it every day!!
We stayed with Halsy's parents and loved just hanging out. I took Dru ( Halsy's Mom) shopping for her birthday and Halsy went golfing with his brothers....then we went out to dinner together, after that we played Cranium and laughed until we peed our pants before going to bed.

We were so bummed though because all of Halsy's sisters and cousins were sick so we didn't get to hang out and play....We got to go to their ward on Sunday and got to meet some fun people.

We came home and had a delicious Carter Family Dinner of salad, potatoes and gravy, roast, and vegetables.....it was so yummy!!! After dinner the Boys watched football while Dru and I played Phase 10 until it was time to leave. We really had a great time and are planning to go back in a couple weeks to see our newest little nephew coming up from Utah.

Laughing...

I love not knowing what is going to make your baby laugh....it makes it so fun when you find something that they think is funny. This was on Friday night at TV Party...

Cameron the Talented

My Dad used to do this trick with me when I was Cam's age!!
My favorite part is that he really loves doing it....

4 Month Check Up

Cameron and I went to see Dr. Palmer on Wednesday and our little guy is doing great!! The Doctor said that he is perfectly healthy and is growing just like he should. He now weighs 14 lbs 2 oz and is 25 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 40th for length. It always makes me feel better to go to see the doctor and know that he is okay, unfortunately going to the doctor is synonymous with getting shots. He had to get 3 at that visit, but I did much better this time around!! I gave him some Tylenol and that made him feel better, he was cranky the rest of the day, and I am sure it was to let me know he was unhappy with my decision to take him in the first place...
