October 2013

On a visit to Target we stopped to try on some sweet halloween wigs.
Kj wanted to be a witch! Oooooo so scary!!

We finally are getting a GYM FLOOR!! It was pretty amazing watching the entire process as they built layer after layer. The kids thought it was pretty cool too! I will post some after pictures soon, or you might just have to come see it for youself.........its pretty awesome!

Cameron got his cast off!! This is him getting a post-cast Xray. There is still evidence of a fracture, but his arm is healing well. About 80% there and getting better every day. Little kids are amazing with all their healing powers. Landon was my buddy while all this was going on, he was such a good boy.

Selfie. I've been a little off track on the weight loss train. I haven't purchased a ticket on the gain train, but I am maintaining and trying to find my motivation again. Still looking good and feeling good, just need to get movin' and work my way down to babymakin' weight. (I need to drop the lbs so I can have a healthier pregnancy this time around)

Pumpkin Patch 2013! Lakeview Farms is still our favorite and this year our cousins joined in the fun!  Of course the usual measurements and funny photos are part of the deal. Train rides, boat rides and hay mazes are so much fun!

 Pony Rides!

Searching the fields for the perfect pumpkin.

Landon kept taking off for the hills! He love the open space and tons of pumpkins!!

 Cameron found his pumpkin!

Cameron and Daphne searching for their pumpkins.
KJ found hers!!

Family Photo - minus Halsy. Its such a bummer Daddies have to work so hard.
We are grateful for our Daddy!!

Mis Padres. Love em'

Love my sister!
Playing by the pond waiting for the boat to arrive.

My uncle John and Aunt Cheryl came for a visit and since we only see them a few times a year we had a brunch at Grandma DeLong's! We had so much fun catching up and eating yummy food!
KJ and Reese are starting to enjoy playing together. It is so fun to see those little blonde curly dolls run around together!

 Pre-Halloween costume try on day.
Pumpkin carving too!!

Getting a picture with each of them by their pumpkin was proving to be impossible.....so we gave up.

The warmth of summer is almost completely gone. We are trying to hold on as long as possible!!
Playing outside on the driveway and riding bikes are a must before the rain comes.

Sweetest

Guess Finny B still needs a nap. We tuckered him right out.

I love this. Hopefully they still enjoy each other this much when their older. (Hey I can have hope)

HALLOWEEN

This year we had a Race Car Driver, a Princess Rapunzel (Tangled) and a Lion!! I took the cutest video of them in their costumes and Landon going "Roar!", then when I went to watch it, there was no sound. I almost cried. It was so cute..... :(

The boys had so much fun. Meg and I ran ahead with them so we could go fast!! We got tons of Candy!!

and what is the best part of Halloween you ask? SORTING and EATING. We all got on the floor and dug in. Even Landon figured out tradition real quick!!

If you made it to the end of this post I think you deserve a prize.........
My sister won't let me post this on youtube, even though I think it has the potential to go viral...
Anyway - here ya go.

Shout out

A few weeks ago Cameron and I were walking to the car after our home school group day and I asked him what he learned about. This was his reply:

"Uhhhhhhgh Self Reliance.......again."

It made me smile that my kid was tired of learning about self reliance......shout out to home school.

and the winner is......

I have always talked in my sleep, especially in that period of sleep right before you really get into deep sleep. Halsy always teases me the morning after. Oh well. Can you guess which one of our children got my lovely gift of sleep talking?

And the winner is................Katey Jane!

Thats right folks, Katey Jane has taken the title of sleep talker. It is hilarious. We all share a bedroom so we get to hear her every night rambling or making noise before we get to sleep.

September 2013

I felt so lucky to be wanted by two bottle babies at the same time!!

We went to Eugene to play for a couple days and KJ had a blast with her older girl cousins. We don't have big Girls at our house. they made bracelets, necklaces, anklets, etc. They played dress up and danced like ballerinas.

I just love this sweet baby! He makes our family so happy.

Making cookies - lucky boy got to lick the mixer :)

One of Landon's first walks up the road. He is getting better at walking!

Playing on the porch enjoying the sunshine.

....and the creek.

We took the kids to the beach and while windy - the day turned out to be a perfect beach weather day!!

Landon LOVED the sand!

 Exploring waterfalls and caves!

Climbing ever so high!

GG kisses!

Meg and GG froze, but they stuck it out cuz the kids had a ball!!

Cameron's fall on the monkey bars turned into a cast! The original doctor said there was no break, but after 3 weeks of no improvement I took him back in to re-examine him. Sure enough there was a fracture that was missed and he needed a cast for 3 weeks! Could have been worse for sure....I was glad we caught it. He did awesome! He picked Tiger stripes for his cast and loved having everyone sign it.

7-11 Loves me on Friday!!

I got to go to the beach for 2 entire days and two entire nights with a bunch of women! It was absolutely lovely. I slept a lot and played games and just took care of myself......so needed.

The big kids love getting out the beans, but with Landon and Lyla's age the beans are a disaster so Cameron was delighted to play during nap time :)

Landon is an open door runner. If he finds an open door he is outta here!! Fast too......

My brother Matt stopped by and spent some time pushing his nieces and nephews on the swing set. This swing set was a bet won by my dad vs. two of his salesman at the office. He found the swing set on craigslist but it was in bad shape. His bet won him two guys to sand it and put it together. I made the canopy and Jerry attached it. IT turned out pretty awesome and the kids love it.

We finally checked out Tualatin NAture Conservancy......it is so close to our house and we had so much fun. We made nature bracelets and saw birds, fish, crawdads, frigs, snakes, and bugs!

Bought a size 16 jeans = moving down towards SEXY MAMA

Gotta love the apple farm.

Our cousins (Justin & Cassie) moved here from Seattle this week and WE ARE SO EXCITED!! We missed them so much living 3 hours away. They brought their little one Daphne (20 mo) and she is the cutest little thing!! So that is why there will probably be an additional little toe head in our pictures.

5 of my favorite people!! Girls nights with these ladies is never dull. I wish I could have more girls there, but I think if everyone that I adore was there we'd clear out the restaurant :)

September was interesting for sure. We had a lot of fun and also some stress. Halsy's car died. SO now we are down to one vehicle. He drives the van to work everyday and I just stay home a lot. I can borrow my sister's car when I need it though so I am not trapped completely. I don't know what we are goin to do with his car - can't afford to fix it, maybe sell it? We shall see.
