Shout out

A few weeks ago Cameron and I were walking to the car after our home school group day and I asked him what he learned about. This was his reply:

"Uhhhhhhgh Self Reliance.......again."

It made me smile that my kid was tired of learning about self reliance......shout out to home school.

and the winner is......

I have always talked in my sleep, especially in that period of sleep right before you really get into deep sleep. Halsy always teases me the morning after. Oh well. Can you guess which one of our children got my lovely gift of sleep talking?

And the winner is................Katey Jane!

Thats right folks, Katey Jane has taken the title of sleep talker. It is hilarious. We all share a bedroom so we get to hear her every night rambling or making noise before we get to sleep.

September 2013

I felt so lucky to be wanted by two bottle babies at the same time!!

We went to Eugene to play for a couple days and KJ had a blast with her older girl cousins. We don't have big Girls at our house. they made bracelets, necklaces, anklets, etc. They played dress up and danced like ballerinas.

I just love this sweet baby! He makes our family so happy.

Making cookies - lucky boy got to lick the mixer :)

One of Landon's first walks up the road. He is getting better at walking!

Playing on the porch enjoying the sunshine.

....and the creek.

We took the kids to the beach and while windy - the day turned out to be a perfect beach weather day!!

Landon LOVED the sand!

 Exploring waterfalls and caves!

Climbing ever so high!

GG kisses!

Meg and GG froze, but they stuck it out cuz the kids had a ball!!

Cameron's fall on the monkey bars turned into a cast! The original doctor said there was no break, but after 3 weeks of no improvement I took him back in to re-examine him. Sure enough there was a fracture that was missed and he needed a cast for 3 weeks! Could have been worse for sure....I was glad we caught it. He did awesome! He picked Tiger stripes for his cast and loved having everyone sign it.

7-11 Loves me on Friday!!

I got to go to the beach for 2 entire days and two entire nights with a bunch of women! It was absolutely lovely. I slept a lot and played games and just took care of myself......so needed.

The big kids love getting out the beans, but with Landon and Lyla's age the beans are a disaster so Cameron was delighted to play during nap time :)

Landon is an open door runner. If he finds an open door he is outta here!! Fast too......

My brother Matt stopped by and spent some time pushing his nieces and nephews on the swing set. This swing set was a bet won by my dad vs. two of his salesman at the office. He found the swing set on craigslist but it was in bad shape. His bet won him two guys to sand it and put it together. I made the canopy and Jerry attached it. IT turned out pretty awesome and the kids love it.

We finally checked out Tualatin NAture Conservancy......it is so close to our house and we had so much fun. We made nature bracelets and saw birds, fish, crawdads, frigs, snakes, and bugs!

Bought a size 16 jeans = moving down towards SEXY MAMA

Gotta love the apple farm.

Our cousins (Justin & Cassie) moved here from Seattle this week and WE ARE SO EXCITED!! We missed them so much living 3 hours away. They brought their little one Daphne (20 mo) and she is the cutest little thing!! So that is why there will probably be an additional little toe head in our pictures.

5 of my favorite people!! Girls nights with these ladies is never dull. I wish I could have more girls there, but I think if everyone that I adore was there we'd clear out the restaurant :)

September was interesting for sure. We had a lot of fun and also some stress. Halsy's car died. SO now we are down to one vehicle. He drives the van to work everyday and I just stay home a lot. I can borrow my sister's car when I need it though so I am not trapped completely. I don't know what we are goin to do with his car - can't afford to fix it, maybe sell it? We shall see.

Little Lando - 13 1/2 months

Landon is changing every day and I need to write it down so I remember!

He really wants to talk! This little guy is saying: EYES, SHOES, HI, DAD, NOSE, UH OH, DOGGIE, BOTTLE, MAMA, GO, BUBBA (brother) & THANK YOU.  We LOVE hearing his little voice. He is so excited about it.

He is still a great sleeper, sleeps all through the night - very rarely waking up in the middle. We are very happy about that. Every other night or so he gets his leg stuck in between the bars of his crib and he needs a rescue. Last night he got his arm stuck - I'd never seen that before. Sweetest baby, he always goes back to sleep after the trauma :)

He loves his family! He finds everyone and gives them smiles and a "Hi" complete with hugs. He is so sweet.

He loves to eat and definitely knows when he is full. He throws everything on the floor when he is finished and if I don't catch him in time he makes a monumental mess! His favorite things are: milk, string cheese, cottage cheese, pickles, grapes, sausage, and yes of course sweets!

He Loves to wear shoes! He brings shoes of all sizes to us to help him put them on. He likes to always have on his shoes. He is either wearing his crocs or his Robeez. I think it is his form of freedom. I love hearing his little mouth say "Sheeeewz" (shoes) and watch him get so excited when he can tell I a going to put them on his feet!

He still loves his binky and his bottle and I am starting to think about bottle weaning, but not the binky yet. He really loves it!

He likes to dance. I was cooking dinner last night and was getting bored with a song so I walked around the counter to change it and Landon was standing by the computer dancing!! I quietly backed away and watched his little diaper bum bounce!

He is getting so good at walking! He still walks like a drunken orangutan, but walking nonetheless. He wants to move faster and leans forward......it looks like he is trying to run. He is als my best climber yet. I find him on tables, in high chairs, on shelves, anywhere. This kid loves to get higher!!

He LOVES to be outside. If the door opens he is outta here! He loves to go for walks now and would be outside all day if we let him.

He "polar bears" down the stairs. He is getting so fast!!

Better late than never!

My cousin Tiffany is an amazing videographer (sp?)! She gave me the gift of a video for Landon's Birth when he was born. I just got it yesterday and I'm in love.

July 2013

Austin and JEna took the kids outside to make a good old fashioned slip n' slide! Cameron was the only kid brave enough to really give it a go. Jackson made a valiant effort though!

4th of July Parade was fun - the kids are really diggin' the candy throwing thing.

Then we went to my Uncle Morgan and Aunt Jane's house fora awimming and BBQ party!

Loved the fireworks at home!

Katey JAne and I had a girls shopping day. She, GG, and I went with my other sisters and shopped till' we dropped.

Literally......

July brought us sunshine and with that we made our first trip to the Wilsonville water pad! We LOVE that place and Landon fell in love too. He didn't want to get out of the water.

My back gave me a lot of trouble in June/July/August. This trip I was off to the chiropractor for a massage and adjustment. Best part? - no kids in the back seat of my van. I had the windows down, music on as loud as I wanted, and I had some alone time! It was awesome.

We went to pick fresh blueberries - the kids love em'

While we were picking berries - Landon busted out his first "Thank you"

We went to our first Ward Campout, we loved it. I wish it had been for more than one night for all the packing we had to do, but we had fun. This is our van as packed as it could be. Even KJ's feet were crowded by our firewood.

This was the morning of the campout - it was SO COLD!! We FROZE. of course Landon woke up super early and we ran out of firewood because it was so cold. So......I heated up the van and we watched hercules until the sun came out over the mountains.

We had lots of fun playing on the beach. The weather was ok for the Oregon Coast. Cameron had fun riding his bike with his friends and we had a big smore campfire on the beach.

My friend took this awesome picture - Thanks Danielle!

 Lunch before we headed home!

LAndon was at Megan's house being babysat and she set him on the chair while she vacuumed. When she turned around she found him like this - dead asleep :)

We had a big play date with friends and Katey Jane helped make this setting for a tea party for the girls! I love that she is into girly things with me!!

Katey Jane's art has stepped up another level. She draws people now and they really look like people! You can see eyes, a nose, hair, a mouth, they even get arms, legs, and a body lately too!

Can't miss the Washington County Fair! Its a tradition! We had fun, the weather wasn't too hot and the food was sooooo yummy! The kids had a blast looking at the animals and playing in all the booths.

Sweet little Lando

They LOVED the corn bin and were very sad to leave

I love his chubby little foot perched on the side trying to get in!

Our resident Ninja-power ranger-samurai-good guy super hero. He got this cool spin sword as a reward for having NO CAVITIES!! Poor Cameron got his Mommy's teeth and really struggles keeping those sugar bugs away! We've been working hard on it and it definitely deserved a reward!

Happy 4th Birthday Finny B! Megan's oldest turned 4 and we celebrated with a lunch at Mc D's

The beginning of blackberry season! Yumm.   This was Landon's first taste and he never stopped!

Cameron is an expert berry picker. He can spot the sweetest ones and he is brave enough to get poked a few times to get just the right berry :)

I love dirty food drippy, unclothed, summer babies! This is a combination of dirt (from driveway construction), golden plums, and blackberries!!

Lyls'a is ALL blackberries

Cameron LOVES Norman. He is too big for Cameron to pick up now :)

Landon can now go up and down the stairs!!
