Cameron the destroyer

Ok, thats it. I AM GOING TO EXPLODE!!!! Cameron went to the bathroom (potty and poop) before lunch and then told me he was ready for a nap. We read books, blah blah blah the whole nine yards. I put him in bed and headed downstairs to clean. Apparently he wasn't done pooping. I worked for two hours around the house and when I headed to put in a load of laundry I hear scurrying feet in my house (3rd floor). I said Cameron's name and he answered. My blood started boiling......since it is nearly 3pm now he won't take a nap for the day!!!! Then, as I neared the top of the staircase, steam came from my ears!! He had thrown all of my pens, markers, crayons, tacks, binder clips, scissors, stapler, paper scraps, books, etc (anything sitting on a computer desk) all over the floor. PLUS - he had so much poop in his pants that it was coming down his legs. Stinky Sticky Green Poop. I couldn't help it - I was yelling!!!! Then after I opened his pull-up there were binder clips and scraps of fabric shoved in his diaper. It was then that I noticed that his fingers were green. OH MY GOODNESS!!! GRRRRROOOOOWWWWLLLLLL.

CAMERON....NO!
CAMERON JAMES CARTER....WE DON'T POOP IN OUR PULL UP!
WE DON'T DUMP MOMMY'S THINGS ON THE FLOOR!
WE DON'T TOUCH OUR POOPY!
WE DON'T...WE DON'T ....WE DON'T!!!!!!!!

I WAS DREAMING OF HORRIBLE THINGS TO DO TO HIM AS I PICKED UP EVERY SCRAP SMELLING FOR POOP SO I WOULD KNOW WHAT NEEDED TO BE THROWN OUT. Then he brought me a dinosaur and sure enough he had stuck that in his poop too. It is now in the garbage. He colored all over my desk calendar, my computer screen (luckily with crayon), my desk, he ripped covers off of books, and I am sure I will find more things as I continue with my day.

I am so mad I can't even look at him without wanting to yell and scream. He is spending time with Jackson elsewhere while I vent - hopefully I will get over it after my venting is through. The gate has to go back up on his door and I have to deal with bed/room training yet again. DANG IT ALL!

Birthday Surprise

Cameron turns three today!! Our biggest boy! Unfortunately he is celebrating from the couch because he woke up and after his birthday breakfast - threw up on me while we were sitting on the couch. YUMMY! Luckily, it was just an upsent tummy from all the Easter garbage we ate and he was a new man by the end of the day!!

Height: 35 1/2" (10th percentile)

All about Cameron:

~ Cameron is a kind hearted little man. So polite too! He says  "excuse me mommy" "Please" "thank you"
~ He gives the best hugs and kisses - Oooo those kissable lips!!
~ He is very opinionated - getting dressed, going first, using the potty, finding things, where he sits, and so much more. I love and despise this personality trait.

I am going to start him in Gymnastics lessons when I stop working - I think he would be so good at it!! He has really good control of his muscles. Katey Jane's second word is.....

Uh oh

Tant-Too

Katey Jane's first word is:
TANT TOO
(THANK YOU)

I heard it yesterday, but it was unconfirmed until today when Jena and I heard her do it at least 10 times. She hands you something and says "tant to". My new goal in life is to get it on film - it is too cute for words!

Because I'm Mad.....

Cameron did not want to go to bed. He was so adamantly against it that I ended up carrying him up the stairs by the seat of his little pants while he screamed at me to PUT HIM DOWN! I had Katey Jane in the other arm who was crying because she was past tired. Then there was me......driven absolutely nuts and ready to explode.

We finally reached the top of the stairs and I told Cameron to go and get a pull-up and bring it into his room. He loudly replied, "NO!!". I politely let him know that if he did not do as Mommy asked he would only get to read one book at bedtime. He growled at me and turned to his dresser. He was taking quite some time to do this small task so after getting Katey Jane's pajamas on I set her in her crib to go take a look.

He definately had been busy - he had strewn the pull-ups across the floor and told me, "Mommy, I threw the pull ups on the floor!" I said, "Why?" to which he replied very matter of factly "because I am mad at you." accompanied by a glare that could kill, looking a little something like this.

I told him I was mad at him too - not listening to mommy doesn't make me very happy. We agreed that we were mad at eachother and then moved on. I even got a hug before bed time.

Our Little Miss

Her new stats as a 12 month old:

~ She loves to watch mickey mouse with her brother.
~ She laughs all the time - a very happy little thing.

Poor Halsy

Hi Friends and Family ~
Thought we share what happened to us today!! We were heading up to the barn on the Mule (4 wheeler meets golfcart) and all the seats were taken, so Halsy jumped on the side. Well Megan gave him a tickle and then I poked him and the driver of the vehicle sped up - all of that combined = Halsy falling and cutting his head open! Yes- you heard me right I pretty much knocked my husband right off the Mule. He was really banged up - blood on his head, elbow, side, and road rash from his shoulder blade to his bum. He was able to stand up, but when we got him into the house he couldn't remember things, how he got there, what we were doing, how he go hurt, why he was bleeding. Really freaked us out - so off to Urgent Care we went. He asked me the same questions over and over and he couldn't do simple math, even slurring his speech a little. I was getting pretty nervous. When we go to Urgent Care they checked him out and sent us to the ER because the cut on his head was worse than we thought. OH JOY! We drove to Tuality and luckily walked right in to the ER. We had a great nurse and doctor - they were so good to us! They cleaned out his cut, gave him a CT Scan, scrubbed his road rash, and if that wasn't bad enough, he had to get a tetanus shot. Poor Guy. He can now remember everything until he stood up from the fall - but still can't remember how he got into the house (the doc said that was normal). He passed the CT scan and needs to stay home for tomorrow. He has 4 staples in his head and a pretty gnarly headache.

I couldn't stop apologizing and felt so bad!! He was a trooper and we made it home before 11pm (the festivities began around 7 :). Now he is sleeping with his friend - Vicadin.

XOXO,
Halsy's Mean Wife

Katey Jane is 1 Year Old!

Katey Jane turned 1 on April 4th! We still can't believe she is that old already - it feels like we just brought her home from the hospital. She has been such a  joy that time has passed without so much as a Grrrrrrrr. We don't know what personality factory she came from, but we know we want the rest of our kids to come from the same one :) We had a Lady Bug party for her with my family on Sunday and my mom made the house look so darn cute!

We had a yummy dinner and lady bug cupcakes! Katey Jane got some clothes and books and toys! We were spoiled!!

Katey Jane got her own HUGE ladybug cupcake -she wasn't sure what to do at first, but she figured it out and made a glorious 1st Birthday Mess!!

We Love our Katey Jane - we go see Dr. Palmer on Wednesday and I'll update on her stats and new skillz!!
