Princess Shoes
Last night as we were getting ready for bed, KJ was wearing her purple Princess Shoes around the bedroom. I announced it was time to find our beds and she waited by her crib - still wearing her shoes. I asked her to take them off and she was adamant that that would not be happening. I decided to go with it. She actually fell asleep still wearing them! Also when I checked on her before I went to be a few hours later, they were still on her feet. It was the cutest thing. I was so sad my Camera was downstairs.

23 Week Check Up (Pregnancy Update)
Went to see Dr. Andrews today and as hoped - everything looks wonderful! The ultrasound not only told us it was a boy, but also revealed that there are no worries at all about our little bundle! He is happy and healthy in my tummy. While listening to his heart rate, he kept kicking the monitor. I always love that!
This kid is a mover and a low rider. Not only is he always moving, but I feel like I am always peeing because he sits so low in my belly. I am feeling wonderful and life is good.

Such a Girl
Last night Halsy had the kids in the bathroom getting ready to brush their teeth. Katey Jane went looking for her toothbrush and when she opened one of the drawers there was a pretend spider sitting inside. She freaked out.....she squealed and ran from the bathroom and hid in the bonus room! "Oh no, Bug!" "Yucky" I came down the stairs to see what made her run and she was so scared she wouldn't let anyone come near her! I got her to let me pick her up and then Halsy came from the bathroom with the bug in his hand. She was still shaking! I told him not to bring it near her - she really hates bugs - but he didn't believe me. He wanted to explain to her that it is not real and show her the bug. I know better, but Halsy seemed adamant that he could do it. He came closer and she said "NOOOO!" and covered her eyes and started shaking some more. So Halsy let up and we hid the bug. We went back to the bathroom to brush teeth and it was so funny because she couldn't start until we opened all the drawers to show her the bug was gone.
The only explanation for her behavior is that she is such a girly girl. I really try to not get squeamish around bugs so I don't give them a fear if they didn't already have one. Cameron is totally cool with bugs. Katey Jane is not. Funny kiddos.

Rotten
This morning the kids asked for milk to drink while I was making the food. There was a 1/8 jug left and then an entire new jug unopened. I filled KJ's milk with the 1/8 full jug (using it all) and then opened the new one for Cameron. I poured the milk into his cup and while pouring he whined/yelled "Mom that is too much!" I said "Don't worry Cam I'll drink some of it." I began to gulp it down (I adore milk) and on gulp three I realized there was something very very extremely wrong with what was in my mouth. The milk was ROTTEN. I rushed to the sink and spit it out, then proceeded to throw up the contents of my stomach. My body wouldn't stop gagging!! It was so nasty. I reached for a banana, ripped it in half, and shoved it into my mouth. Anything to rid myself of the taste. Gurgle Gurgle Gurgle. Spit Spit Spit........YUCK. I cleaned the sick out because all I could smell was rotten milk. I finally recovered, my eyes watering still catching my breath, and checked the milk jug. It had only just expired yesterday. So I poured an entirely new jug down the sink.
Cameron and Katey Jane watched this entire process in horror and poor Cameron was gagging right along with me.

Pregnancy Update (21 Weeks)
Other than my belly protruding farther and farther everyday and needing a nap every minute - you would never know I am pregnant! I feel wonderful. Baby Landon is moving lots and lots, especially when I start eating. Now that I know we are having a boy and I have all his baby things washed and put into drawers I am feeling like it will take forever for him to get here! I want to see his little face and see who he looks like! That is always my favorite part! I still have 19 weeks left and it can't come fast enough! I can't wait!

2 Year Old Girl!
Wow we have a very big girl! Katey Jane is 2! I don't know what my life would be like without this little gem in our house! I think Heavenly Father knew that I needed this little miss to being me joy!
We have so much fun with her, here are some of the things she is up to as a big girl:
She is talking like crazy! All of a sudden in the last week her speech has gotten clearer and we hear new words and sentences daily! It is so fun to hear her voice - and man is she loud. You have to be loud around here to be heard and she is definitely heard. She says "Stop it" "What are you doing?" "Where did Mommy go?" "Me too!" "My turn" "Oh no" "Oh Man" and so much more!!
She still looks like a mix of her Aunt Katelyn and her Aunt Jena. She has Jena's eyes and Katelyn's cheeks and mouth. We all die when she talks because it really looks just like Katelyn.
She gives the sweetest hugs. They are different because she doesn't wrap her arms around you, instead she burys her head in your shoulder/neck and tucks her little arms in. She couldn't be closer if she tried! It is the best thing ever.
She has crazy woman hair when she wakes up in the morning. Just like Katelyn did when she was her age.
She loves to be girly. Anything with ruffles, bows, flowers, glitter, etc; she is attracted to it! She lets us paint her nails, she wears pretties in her hair, she wears her purse, she lets me do her hair every day, and she asks for certain outfits too!
When she gets tired we can always tell because she gets quiet and will touch her eyelashes. She puts her little hand up by her face and rests her thumb on her cheekbone and her pointer finger strokes her eyelashes or she puts her pointer finger on her forehead and uses her thumb to play with her eyelashes. It is so cute - I've never seen a kid do that before.
She is very cuddly and we all love her lap time, loves, and kisses.
She is still just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! She really is so feminine and petite and I love watching her do everything! Her silky skin, her red lips, her curly hair! Oh man I can't get enough of this little thing!
She is such a good girl. I am not just bias either, she really is. She goes to bed like a champ! we just got rid of bottles and you would have never known it!
She still LOVES her binky and I don't have the heart to take that away too! I am going to start taking it away except for naps and bedtime, but not yet. She really really really LOVES them!
We saw Dr. Palmer and here are her newest stats:
25 1/2 lbs (30th percentile)
35 inches tall (75th percentile)
19 1/2" head circumference (90the percentile)
She gained 3 lbs and grew 3 inches in 6 months!! Way to go Little Miss KJ!

Mommy and Daddy Update
I am always updating on the kiddos, but there are so many things I don't want to forget about Halsy and I too!
Halsy is starting the major home stretch of school. He is now spending most of his time in the Outpatient Clinic - which means he is treating the everyday Joe. He loves it. His Clinician is tough, but it is good for him. He is at school most of the time, the only day out of the week we get to see him at home is on Sundays. He is home in the evenings too, but only when there isn't a test to study for......which is pretty darn often if you ask me. His Graduation Date is set for December 22nd of this YEAR!!! Holy Moly I can't believe we are done with school in less than a year - its pretty amazing. He might even finish earlier if he gets his credits finished up, and I wouldn't mind that one bit. At church Halsy lives in the Nursery. He likes it more and more as he does it. He was hoping to move out of primary after being a teacher for a few years, but it was not meant to be. It has been nice having him in there so Katey Jane;'s transition wasn't so horrible.
I have been keeping very busy myself. I am no longer working at my Dad's office, but I do continue to clean houses part time. I will be very excited to be done with "other" jobs and focus on my main "job" = Mommyhood. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant with little Carter #3 and feeling wonderful! We get to find out the gender on Friday!! I have been having so much fun with Cameron and Katey Jane, they are amazing kids. Cameron amazes me with his mind and how sweet he is! Katey Jane is about the cutest thing on planet earth and we are loving hearing her little voice now that she talks! I enjoy my family immensely and love my girly friends! We have fun together. I live in Primary on Sundays too! I am lucky enough to be the Primary Chorister and I ADORE it. It was very sad to be released from Valiant Day Girls, but I might be just as sad when this calling goes away too. I am looking into reading the Hunger Games, but after seeing the first movie I don't know if I can read through the emotion again. Also - I asked around and heard that some people were disappointed in the ending. So in true Brooke fashion - I read that last 30 pages of the book. I am still deciding if I want to invest the time and emotion :)
So - both busy, both happy. Life is Good.
