We got to go to the zoo with some other mommies in our ward. We had such a fun time! Cameron slept most of the time, but Jackson had a ball! We saw all the animals, had a picnic lunch, and were there for 4 hours and didn’t even realize it. We got rained on for a little bit, but we survived. Cameron loved the ducks swimming in the pond. After the zoo we came home and passed out for a couple hours before heading to the Hillsboro pool for a family swim. Cameron was in heaven! He splashed and splashed and splashed! We were all so tired after our activity filled day that we fell asleep as soon as we got home and didn’t stir until the next morning (even Jackson asked Jena if he could just go to bed)
We had spaghetti for dinner and Cameron loved it! He got it into every crook and cranny he could. I just love his little orange face!
Cameron is so kind to his mommy! When I need to fold laundry or clean up around the house….I put Cameron in the swing, otherwise my folded laundry wouldn't be folded anymore. DUN Dun dun.
Cameron and Jackson absolutely love eachother and these pictures are just precious. Jena took them to the store and when they got home this is how she found them, holding hands and Cameron asleep. So Sweet!
We decided to go for a hike together in the Gorge to a couple waterfalls. We were going on two short hikes, the first being a moderate level and the second being an easy level, both ending in a waterfall. We started up the first trail with no problem, but the trail soon turned vertical (slight exaggeration, but not much) and all of us were dying! The trail got steeper and steeper and rockier….half of us turned back because the waterfall never came! Long story short…..we took the wrong trail….there was no waterfall and there was a deadly rockslide about a mile further up the trail(according to a hiker coming down the trail). We later discovered that instead of a moderate level hike, we were on a strenuous hike. We climbed 3200 feet and went 6 miles….we couldn’t believe it. We left the hike with sore legs and no waterfalls. We still had fun nonetheless and now we know the right trail!
We love dance parties at the Morin House.....both boys wanted to dance with Grandpa. I got pushed away for Grandpa. Cameron held his ear as they danced and his heart was so happy I am sure!
YEAH!! I found your blog! Cute pics! I miss you SO bad, but I will hopefully be up in Oregon for Melo's Homecoming talk which will be on Mother's Day!!! Hopefully you will be there, and there won't be any snow! ;)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is the picture of the boys holding hands?! Also, your hike looks like it was fun, even if it was a bit treacherous and you didn't see a waterfall. At least the Oregon scenery that you got to hike in is beautiful! I haven't seen that much green since . . . well, since I last visited Oregon!
